Checked cameras this morning and was happy to see a couple decent bucks showing back up. This spot that I hunt is a doe bedding area that runs right along a small river. The landowner plowed a road through the trees which I thought would be great to access a couple stands. Turns out he was even more pumped about being able to take a leisurely strolls through the woods on his side by side. Either way, a doe and her two fawns still show up every day and bucks keep cruising through. Planted a small food plot along the river, but nothing has taken off yet..

I work here in Clarksville, big building under the water tower off Exit 4. I have not hunted Campbell, I was stationed there for 7 years and not once hunted it.

Yup, he is being moved to the top of my hit/wish list. It would be an awesome buck next year, but this area has a lot of paid hunters that aim to fill tags. Needless to say, imma take em.

Well I went to pull a card tonight and was pleasantly surprised. I suspected a lot of deer bedded along this creek when the corn was in but only expected a few doe and small bucks. Ended up getting a couple nice bucks that showed up about every other day for two weeks. They aren't giants but the one with the junk brows might get my aluminum shaft if you know what I mean ;)

Nice deer Jake! That one with junky brows is pretty cool. They must be bedding or feeding close to the area if they show that often! Hope they stick around! pun intended

Yeah, I'm hoping he sticks around foe the first weeks of season. I know there are bigger deer around, but this spot is so convenient. about 150 yards from where I park and non intruding access. All my others stands are mile long walks.

Anything going on today guy's? Getting a ton of rain today here, which is good for me. We need it. I trying something new this year, I put a small 1/8 acre food plot in the middle of the woods I hunt. It's about 1/2 mile from the road in the middle of a old select cut woods that is a total jungle. It seems to be working and finally started getting some buck pics! But still looking for a more mature buck.

Nah, sitting here weathering out a storm. Kinda hoping I'll be able to get my food plots in, I planted 2 back in may, but due to being overseas I haven't been able to touch it. Hopefully I got some big deer on the cam, and I'll get down two more food plots before the 13th of sept. I'm hoping to get my first doe on the ground day 1. I got a good spot where I can guarantee I'll drop a doe within the first 3 days of hunting that stand. Once that happens, it's gonna be a race to November, as that will probably be the soonest I can get a buck on the ground.

Badge looks good to me. I'm heading to Wyoming on the 28th. May get a chance to pick up a doe tag. Season opens on 9/1. Otherwise I'll be calling elk for my buddy.
