***2025 Official Side Bet Thread***

Welcome to the inaugural side bet thread. Following the success of the 2024 Pink Panty Challenge (https://forums.bowhunting.com/threads/2025-pink-panty-challenge.101950/) The 2025 contest introduces the Side Bet Thread. Want to challenge an individual member to a side contest? This is the place to do it.

Rules for establishing a side bet:
1) Challenges must be one versus one against another forum member. The official contest is the only teams contest allowed. A minimum 200 post count on the forum is required to enter a side bet. We need to know you will be around to honor the bet should you lose.

2) Participants must agree to rules and stakes through private messaging with @cantexian to establish side bet regulations. As moderator of official side bets, once ground rules have been established, only @cantexian can make the official post in this thread outlining side bet rules and score updates.

3) Side bet rules can be different than the teams contest rules, however, both participants must agree to and follow the side bet rules for scores to be counted.

4) To avoid confusion, this thread serves only to establish side bets and the scoring of side bets. Commentary should stay in the Smacktalk thread or team threads. If required in the terms of the bet, only the participants of the side bet may enter score posts in this thread as done in the official scorecard thread for the teams contest.

5) This is a bowhunting forum, as with the main contest, only archery kills can be scored in any side bet. Further establishment of rules will be wager specific. Have fun!

 

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Wager

This side bet is between @Suncrest08 and @LittleChief Chief. At stake is a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Rules:
1) This contest runs from Sept 15th 2025 through January 15th 2026. Archery kills outside this time frame will not count.
2) Scoring Rules

• Two bucks may be entered, each buck is worth its gross antler score
• Unlimited does may be entered, each doe is worth 50 points
• The first two deer for each participant may be entered on the official scorecard thread, additional deer must be posted in this thread following the official score card rules: time, date, and one pictures with bow.
• Highest score total on January 16 2026 is the winner. The bet is considered officially over when the loser posts proof of purchase in this thread.

I’m pretty sure that’s what Adam said. Our team kills go in the official scorecard. After that all our kills have to be posted here with the same requirements as the contest. Two pics, date and time, etc.

 

@LittleChief is correct on this, so as not to confuse people, the kills that count towards the team contest only need to be added to that scorecard. I will update the side bet score from those posts. Only the additional kills need to be posted as "scorecard" in this thread to avoid duplication and confusion.

I haven’t had such an abysmal season in a decade. Even if I started hunting Kentucky again he would easily outpace me.

I’ve already texted him my “concession speech”.
