    Thanks brother. Last season was a wild one. Didn’t expect to get ran over by a coal truck. Didn’t expect to kill the biggest buck of my life on the first hunt back.

    I don’t think that’s a bad thing necessarily. Sometimes we get so fired up at the end of July and August and we still have another two full months to wait. Sure we can put on some trail cameras and get some things rolling, but no need to go completely crazy.

    The number of people who have signed up this year is considerably lower than last year but I’m hoping when the email goes out it’ll bump up some.

    First, I have to acknowledge that my ultimate goal was to reduce the teams to eight people this year and like I said before, in order to do so this season I would have to sit the contest out and let the rest of my team try to pull off the three-peat.

    After a bit of soul-searching I just can’t sit it out. I will be competing with my two time champs team this season against other 9 person teams.

    When we win we will be disbanded and next year the contest will drop to 8 person teams.

    In the very unlikely event that we lose then next season we will still have 9 person teams.

    There. I said what I said. Everyone needs to bring their “A” game this year because the Big Toe is shooting for a place in history!!!
