I'm saying I would love to fix it but I don't know if that's possible in an age of instant communion

I do not do the contest (we only get one deer tag in Idaho) but I watch the LFTS thread pretty closely Sep-Nov. I just use my browser (Safari), have never even tried to use the app, see too many people comment about problems with viewing pics or uploading. I just leave a browser tab open, if I have service I have no problems using it, posting to it, viewing or uploading pics.

What if bhod came out with their own app that allowed the community and communication on it? There are a ton of those. Our church uses one. Maybe a solution? I know that’s a big ask of somebody but I’m tech challenged and don’t even know what that entails. Just throwing an idea.

I’m all for the idea. It helps the forum/site and is just a slight inconvenience to us regulars who post a lot. 90% of the time I use the Tapatalk app to access the forums and I rarely have any issues.

I really noticed myself not posting in our team thread because of our group chats.

I’ll follow the crowd on whatever is decided.

I will say I am guilty of using group chat more than getting on here, I'm going to try to be more active on here and post more on the team threads and check in on LFTS more. There is some members that just respond to a group chat better than they do on the threads. Sometimes they don't hardly ever post on here until they shoot a deer and post to the scorecard thread.

LC well said. My best friend joined the contest last year and hunts with me in Louisiana and Kansas. He was telling me his team had a group chat. I jumped his a$$ and said that’s what the forum is for. Me personally I will not use a group chat, it just takes to much away from the forum. Tapatalk didn’t work for me years ago, so I just use the website on my phone and roll with it. Like someone said earlier we have a computer in our hands all day everyday.

I've been in groups that did both, forum and text. I'd prefer using tapatalk within the forum. Hadn't had any problems with it.

I'm guessing you're asking when teams are picked? Aug 28th.

Actually, the teams will most likely be posted the evening of Monday the 26th after the sign-ups close.

I just gave myself a two day window in case something else comes up that requires my attention.

You shouldn’t let a one tag state stop you from participating in the contest. If you put one buck on the scorecard you will probably put up more points than half of the participants.

There really isn’t anything to decide Jake. I was basically just asking folks to try to post more in their team threads.

that's definitely a big part of it.

Another huge contributer to the decline of team thread participation - LFTS. Those of us who are active and engaged spend the majority of our time and energy there. That detracts from team engagement. Energy is contagious.

I am very guilty of this.

I have avoided the LFTS successfully since it's inception. Not for want of desire as it looks super fun. But I truly try to stay away from my phone while hunting and that's hard enough already

You should just try it for 1 hunt, not really that distracting as you would think.

Some hunts i post nonstop, then other hunts i never pick up the phone. Just depends the mood im in. It is fun to share the experience we have with this close group of friends we have here. I put no rules on my hunting because i try to keep in fun. Each hunt is situational if i post or not. I would just say try it 1 time, might bring a new experience and thrill you didnt know about.

IMG_6612.png IMG_6611.png IMG_6609.png IMG_6610.png of all the forums i visit on regular base this place is deadest. By far, not even close compared to Rokside, AT, Bowsite, NYwoods and Waters, And Hunt talk.

Here is why, at least from my perspective i post less and less here, and the group chat is not issue for me.
i am not wading to the above crap to find a relevant conversations to reply to and engage with…

I agree with you about the political thread, it is killing this forum and making it unenjoyable.
