I remember Hammer1171 (Team 8) posted a stud Sika stag a few years ago. Think his 50 points is from a Sika hind this year?

No, and they never will. The contest is supposed to be for deer species native to North America.

Sika deer from the east coast have been entered in the past (before I took over) so I've allowed them the past four years. I imagine that the reason they were allowed is because it's a free-roaming, wild population and they are difficult to hunt and kill.

In reality they shouldn't be counted since they not only aren't native to North America, they are actually part of the elk family.

We still have a wild herd of fallow deer here in Maryland. They started as someone's caged animal, but think they were released in the 60's. I saw one shot last year and I have heard them in the marsh over the years. They do a roar during rut. The hinds will bark at you when they feel danger. I personally haven't seen one yet, just hear them. I'm not holding back if I do get the chance at one though. Also we are allowed to enter them in the record books if wanted.

Sika deer look like a miniature elk.
I’ve been traveling and was reading where Hawaii has fallow deer. Of course not many mammals are native to Hawaii

If you're looking to hunt exotic deer, Texas, also a domestic option.

Australia an international option with a lot of of variety.

My friend, Lionel, in Mauritius, for Rusa, if you're looking for an exotic international deer hunt.

We have a buck yet to be posted. Even with that we will be just behind third place. If one of the team members gets a deer we could be in the running again.
With that being said, team five is really tearing it up this year.
