Heat Index reached 117 today and supposed to be hotter tomorrow before breaking for the weekend.

Deer hunting is furthest thing from the thought process...

15 days! Won't be long! Taking off work on opening day. Kind of a ritual now. Plan on a mass doe slaughter this year, watch out LFTS!

I'm down to 2 meals of deer meat. I do not want to be that low next year.

Amen we are at 3 packs of steak and 3 packs of sausage and one set of hot dogs. As that's all we eat besides chicken it's way to close to not enough. Tagging out in NY this year boys

I figured out the best way to grill a whole deer roast about the time we only had 3 left.
Had our close friends over for a few cookouts to enjoy them with, and they are all gone.
My buddy may be hunting this year after eating them, and his wife loved it.

In this heat just lay the deer on the hood of your truck. Will be fully cooked in 6 hrs.

So teams created Sept 1 or what? I keep checking back in to see if they have been created yet...

With you guys... Hot here and it is hard to be motivated. Pic taken at like 10 AM in the morning before we were really cooking.

I have two food plots that I am going to plant tomorrow being we have rain in the forecast this Sat and Sun. Looks like this might be the end of the "hot" weather this week....

Sign ups close on the 28th. Good luck on the plots and I hope you get rain and a break from the heat. It's been miserable for a lot of the country.

Last Saturday. We were the hottest place in the country including Death Valley.... I can deal with the heat but no rain is a struggle!!!

Sooooo went out to shoot tonight and my release trigger got hung up in my gate chain and snapped off. I have extra triggers. In storage. Buried in boxes in storage. Mind as well be in Afghanistan. So I have a wiseguy coming to me in the mail.
