I appreciate that. I really do.

I think I have everything as tightened up as I can get it for now.

I'd better get some sleep. Gotta get up early and get back in a tree. :tu:

Eh, this falls on the captain to remind the successful team member and to double check their entry once posted. Not a whole lote of responsibility on them other than that.

I'd say they need to read the rules at least. Everybody forgets something and I even missed one of our team members forgot time of kill. Cue the complaint department about the rules

I agree, and I made it clear up front what the requirements are to the team and remind each member when they kill, unless they state they already have the pictures etc.

I'm just saying it shouldn't even be on LC to flag the entries, if they don't have the correct info leave them off the card and let the team/hunter/captain figure out what the problem is on why it is not counted. Another thing I'd like to see enforced is the ban from the next years contest if such criteria is not made. It has been in the rules since I have been entering but I have never seen it enforced. I have even let the admin/moderator at the time, not LC, know who on my team failed to submit a score for their buck, missed pictures or what have you. As far as reading the rules, I agree, and think there should be a new requirement on sign ups. You must acknowledge that you read and understand the rules by liking the post. Sign up without liking it, automatic DQ for that years contest, no exceptions.

At some point the captains have to be captains, otherwise what's the point of having them?

This isn't directed at you or anyone in-particular, just quoted your post in response to mine.

My belief is this happens in innocent rounds. Not thinking much about it you round up or decide not to pull tight. But that one is 15 inches from being accurate. Captains are here to keep people honest. It's largely a competition based on honor.

I'm assuming someone has messaged the captain and hunter, rather than come over here and speak about it?

I got everyone’s messages about the questioned score. I only check the forums once a day usually.

I’ve sent my own PM relaying the concerns, being as i live nowhere close to Illinois that’s about the extent of what I can do about it. I hope to have this resolved so the majority is satisfied.

Buck is already at the taxidermist an hour and 30minutes from my home gents, otherwise I’d be more than happy to re measure for you. I assure you I didn’t use centimeters, he would have been much bigger than 147, and I didn’t make a 15-20 inch mistake, although my H5 measurement was quite the rookie flub. I’m pretty embarrassed by that. Not sure I can do anything here to please the masses. Hopefully these extra photos showcase his real size a little more accurately.

I can see the beams in those additional pictures. Ihunt had a similar call out in a previous year and cleared it up with additional pictures.

Only real problem I seen was the 5th mass, easy correction.

I do not believe he was trying to deceive anyone, I get that we have to keep an eye on the contest but I do believe the score is up to par. Got awfully quiet in here fast.

The secondary posts eliminated my concerns. Hell of a buck. But I think it's a great example of a captains duties. To assist and destroy questions. Thank you to Simon and Illinois for clarification.
