My food plot turned into a dirt plot. I'm changing on the fly to radishes, rape, turnip in hopes of bringing in the one in after. Only 2 shooter in the farm and 1 is a ghost sans 1 pic to prove he exists still
Hang in there! Some of my best seasons have been when I had a rough start, you never know. You have anyone close that you could go over the property and maybe give you a new strategy to go after that ghost buck? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I been seeing a real good one where I killed my buck last year, just dropped a cam off hoping to get the low down on em.
WOOHOO. Let’s do this. Kansas tags are in my pocket. My farm in Louisiana is primed stands checked and shooting lanes cleared. Headed to Kansas in august to check stands and clear shooting lanes. I am ready…
I would like to see the opportunity for a second doe to be counted. Yes you can count one, but in some years, that's all I have been able to harvest are my two does. You still leave it at a two deer max entry whether you get a buck or not. I get it some people in the contest can only take one in your particular area, but that's hunting, you still have the opportunity at a buck as well or a bonus buck for 50 points.
I don't think there would be much support for two antlerless entries. Would be nothing but sandbagging until the end when everyone who didn't get a buck submit their second doe. The bonus buck was instituted for members, shed is the main one that comes to mind, who could not shoot a doe, but could shoot more than one buck.
I'm quite sure that will never happen. When this contest started we could enter one buck and one "antlerless" deer for an additional 50 points. As CLS74 said above, the rules were amended to allow a second buck for 50 points since there were some members who hunted in areas where they weren't allowed to kill antlerless deer but were allowed to kill multiple bucks. The only way I could ever see this being allowed to happen is if someone lived in a state that didn't allow bucks to be killed but allowed multiple does. I'm pretty sure there aren't any states out there that do that.
