    I married a teacher, we intentionally planned our wedding for the Saturday at the start Spring Break so she had the week off for the honeymoon and I was the only one using PTO. But, then two of my sons have birthdays in September, 12th and 18th. So elk hunting is limited to either the first 10 days or last 10 days of September until they are grown.

    Today is my anniversary and yes it was sort of intentional. It is the day we met, so that was a good enough excuse. However, 2 of my 3 daughters were born in late October. When they were younger it definitely put a dent in time to hunt and budget, but that's the way it goes. Life ain't fair and the world is mean.

    My wife and I's anniversary is October 13th. Her Birthday is November 8th. Fortunately, she's understanding and doesn't make a big deal out of those days.

    My anniversary is November 11. I have been home maybe 3 times since 2009. Shot my best deer on 11/11 and a couple other dandies as well. Hopefully this year I will be in a tree in Kansas on 11/11. Next year will be our 20th so we may have to do something a little special to the women who can put up with me and my many quirks.

    I doubt anyone will complain with a smaller, more engaged group of folks in this year's contest. Idk maybe someone would complain, but that's the way it goes.

    I would prefer it honestly, i seem to remember days with 400+ sign ups. Anyone have the historical numbers?

    I know i think I missed a year when I was in school but can’t remember that either.
