Walked another 3 miles in a new spot I thought for sure I would find something and nada. Saw a huge buck carrying one side here about a week ago. I’ll be back this weekend

It took two years but I finally matched up a funky shed from 2018. Sad part is, it was only 20 or 30 yards from the first one, just in some thick junk that I never looked in. Also found an old chewed up one.

I won't lie I was looking at that and in my head going"that's so not a 70 inch side then I saw that diameter!!!! That thing is awesome. Nothing like knowing you have deer of that caliber on you. Congrats man.

Well SD was crap this year.

650 miles driven, 11.3 miles walked and zero sheds. Friday night it snowed 5 inches so we didn't even walk Saturday. Was supposed to be 1 inch.

Hopefully can get out at home a couple more times yet.

    Well that would suck!.
I went for maybe 4 miles today and only found a matching pair of dinks.
Buddy found a smoking fresh wolf kill. Figgers he bumped them off.

Finally found one today. Haven't really looked to much. Discouraging part was i circled back to about where I started and found this shed had I looked 10 steps to my left when crossed creek ha. Oh well. Got some pics of this deer and could be a nice one if sticks around. Critters got little bit of it

Got home a little before dark last night and took a short walk through my soybeans with the dogs. After about 5 minutes I found a nice 4 point shed. I'll probably go looking a couple more times now that the snow is almost gone.

With the amount of deer you said you are seeing in your plot, I bet you got a few more in there!

Yeah there should be a few more around. Now is the time to look as the trails leading to the plot are still visable. The trails looked like spokes on a wheel.

Here is a pic of the one I found.
