What part? I'm hoping to go to Iowa for the first time this spring. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
I'm not much of a shed hunter especially now that there is about 16 inches of snow on the ground but my son and his gf like to hunt for them. Night before last I had a buck with one antler in my standing beans and then last night my biggest buck showed up with both antlers still intact. I was a bit surprised by that because I've been getting between 20 to 30 deer a night and usually don't see any with antlers. BTW, how do you guy's know how far you've walked? Fit bit or app on your phone?
#5 and my first Iowa shed. Now up to 4 states with a shed found. Sick of the little guys though! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
A first for me... right next to a deer leg. Rest of deer or what was left of him was stuck in the fence 10 yards away They’re not all giants in Iowa...lol
First one ever! Found Sunday morning when I went out to set up my new feeder. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Very nice. I made it to Iowa last week but only made it about 1.5 hours south. I didn't see a single deer the entire day; walking or driving. Kind of a bummer. Did find the one shed. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
How's everyone's shed/miles looking this year? I'm at 18.89 miles and 5 sheds. Need the snow to melt some here in MN. Checked a camera Sunday and had 4 bucks on it. 3 still had both sides and 1 had 1 antler.
I haven't been keeping track of miles. I really want to so I can get a better average of shed per mile. I would guess I'm at 20-24 miles this year and 2 sheds. I believe most years I'm at 1 shed per 10 miles. I really need to cut out the bad sections, but you never know where you will find one. This year I have been scouting more then actually looking for sheds and the sheds have been a by product. Just can't get my head in the game Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Put on 3.5 miles today. Followed trails almost all day. Snow was knee deep off the trails. Didn’t find the sign we hoped we would on the public but the deer are there based on the trails beat down in the snow. No sheds this time.
Put a few hours in looking today. Not a single shed found. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
