    Got this nice 24” 5 minutes after I got to my buddies house on 4 mile reef on Mille Lacs tonight. 5 fish in 2 hours and 2 keepers (21-23”). Keepers are not easy to come by on this lake so we are blessed.

    They certainly are like unicorns out there! Big rainbow, shiner, or small sucker 6" off the bottom on a deadstick never fails out there.

    Drove around local state Forrest lake coming back from vets..holy crud the lake was absolutely packed this morning! It is in the teens and breezy here. Cars were parked everywhere on and off the lake.

    -7 degrees this morning....rotating the cats hot water bottle and giving warm drinking water and food was a bit chilly! Couldn't believe last nights hot water bottles were still room temp this morning. I did a great job insulating her house in bubble wrap and old blankets.
    The guys will have plenty of ice on the lakes for a while.

    Coast guard had to rescue 60+ people from the ice last week on the Bay of Green Bay. A huge sheet broke off.

    That sheet is drifting north. Wonder how long it will float around before it meets other ice? The bay is about 120 miles long.
