Great antlers, that match set almost doesnt look like a match set from the picture.. different g3s and brows and main beams are different too.

That stuff is so good though, i normally make a lap around the egdes and down any heavy trails. Only way to do those right is a prescribed burn.

I just got back and got skunked again! This is starting to get frustrating. I get into the deer no problem, just not finding the sheds. Maybe getting picked up, or haven't shed yet, don't know. I'm going to keep at, have plenty of spots left to check.

You’ve got to get some snowshoes! I spent 4 hrs the other day looking and checking cams and still came up empty. Covered a lot more ground though than if I was just walking normally.

I keep a journal and last year between march first and march 27th i didnt find an antler, from the 28th to april 5 i found 8. It sucks when you get into slumps but shed hunting is a mental game too. If you can bring an antler with you and toss it out and look for it to keep your eyes and brain in the game. Good luck your next monster shed can be around the corner.

I don't keep a journal, just try to remember as much as I can. I do post most my finds on here , so I can go back over the years to see dates when I find them if I need to. Most mine are in march, but I usually get a couple by now. I got a couple friends that have 30 plus fresh ones already, so the sheds are around. I'm just not finding anything in my go to spots. The antler trick is a good one, been doing it for the last 8 years and recommend it to alot of people that start out. I actually took one yesterday just to keep my eyes sharp! I will get into them soon!

Went out today for little bit. Started off in some pasture ground walking around, man its hard to see stuff in that crap (1st pic). After while moved to wheat field haven't checked yet this year and spotted one halfway across field. Went a grabbed it and it's biggest one forund so far this year. So ended up being decent day. Anyone getting out this weekend?

I'm hoping to get out for a little bit this afternoon and go again tomorrow morning. Going to hit a fresh spot tomorrow, I usually find some good ones there!

Got out on a farm earlier with my youngest. We struck out except a dead head the owner planted. Was nice of her to keep my kid (8 yrs old) interested. We had fun all the same.

Next weekend I'm starting my shed season with walking the home farm, traditionally haven't found many. Hoping griz changes that!
