Tentative. 7 hr drive for me, but if somebody passing through Charlotte or along the I-77 cooridor (N of Charlotte) is contemplating, PM me.
You also have the Wayne national forest, seems to be a huge area. I'm sure some guys on here have been there. Sent from my SM-G900V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well now that we have a date and state nailed down, we can take our time picking the public land We hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If we get a spot picked out in time myself and whitetailjunky1 can probably go scout it out and do a little shed hunting. He is on here but does not post to much. He is planning on going with me. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I'm potentially down, Oct is a rough month for me work wise. But in case it works out, I am acting on behalf of my 2019 team and calling dibs on this section
I'm 100% in for Ohio. It'll be about an 8 hour drive for me from northern Illinois. Anybody watch The Hunting Public on YouTube? They did a deer tour up in Minnesota early season public land and hunted in teams or duos.
Scioto and Shawnee parks. First off, I have not hunted these parks. I am from North part of Ohio. I used to do adventure races with friends from work at these parks. They are 6 and 12 hour compass navigation races half during day, half at night. They always happened in November. We could cover half of the parks in 12 hours. Plenty big. Deep valleys and high peaks. During the race, i also spent time "scouting". I found TONS of rubs and scrapes. I found quite a few sheds. Most pretty ate up from the previous season, but big. Pushed alot of deer around throughout the day. We always pitched tents in the primitive areas. Shawnee had nicer bath facilities. Hot showers and flushing toilets in the primitive camp areas. Scioto did not. No showers and out houses. I would like to attend and would be down for majority vote. Depending on where you hunt, it would take 2 or 3 guys to drag a deer out of the valleys. Both parks have nice trails and entrance points to all areas of the parks. Dont think atv's are allowed. I hope this helps out a little.
I'd love to join for an Ohio hunt. I'd be coming from jersey and wouldnt mind roadtripping with anyone coming from new York or the new England area Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
