First game of the season what do you have to compare it to? You check and see who they added to the roster. For instance based on last years success that the Bears would have a good defense, nothing stupid about that.

They are not involved in criminal or civil proceedings they are interviewing to see if he should be suspended. Adrian Peterson was on the exempt list before he ever went to court.
When you interview someone you gain knowledge and insight into a civil proceeding. It is inappropriate to suspend anyone based on allegations alone. Not one single player is granted the right to play in the NFL. All conditions are in the negotiated collective bargaining agreement. There do not have to charges filed and a player can be suspended. The players agreed to this.
It sounds like they need to not agree with this in future collective bargaining agreement resolutions. And I will say it again, it is inappropriate for the nfl to meet with her on this matter. How many times have we heard, "an anonymous source within the nfl said....", where leaked info is pushed out that defames an individual or taints a case.
