Somebody please explain if I am wrong here. The primary difference in Boone & Crocket and Pope & Young is abnormal points subtract in B&C and add in P&Y. If this is correct several people have cut themselves short on points by using the B& C scoring sheet.
They just use the sheet but don’t actually subtract the deduction. They just use the gross score. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Kjstaudt, if I'm not mistaken you are unable to enter a 2 ND doe into the contest so it will NOT count
They are exactly the same, the only difference is with Pope and Young, you can only enter archery killed deer. And with B & C it has a higher standard in the amount of inches required to enter a animal in the books. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
There is a non typical scoring sheet that adds abnormal points at the bottom. I believe cls74 used it on page 7, I think
Yes P&Y has a non typical score sheet also. They use the exact same method of scoring for both organizations. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
@Kody Nehl congrats on your buck, on your score the 18.5" for greatest spread does not go towards the final score. Not sure why they have that and tip to tip on the official measurements since they do not count. Only measurements that count are: 4 mass measurements All G's Abnormals Main beams Inside spread Congrats again, it's a common mistake and please don't take this as throwing a hissy fit
I was gonna get a calculator out and double check his math. Didn’t think that deer was as big as he had and figured a simple mistake happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This late in the season, people forgot how to enter a deer. Lots of dates, times and second pics are missing from recent entries. Help your teammates out if you notice an error.
Ive reached out to some peoples teammates in efforts to help their scoring and buck entries. Lets back off a little and address them directly.
He looked Abit bigger coming through thick willows a few minutes into legal time. Specially in the deep snow/ hoarfrost.
I love it when they have ground growth!! Last buck I thought was a spike but it turned out to be a three pointer! Pumped!
