Ahhh...it's that magical time of the year when we get to travel to the ATA show, check out all of the new gear being released and then listen to everyone complain about how it's not what they wanted, not as good as it could be and costs too much. Now that all the major bow players have released their products for the year I'm most excited to spend my time looking at other innovations in areas like trail cameras, treestands and broadheads.
This will be my first year attending the show. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all works and how business gets done.
Pretty much gotta know somebody if you are not a manufacturer, reseller or media. Some manufacturers will invite some of their prostaff, but it's very much a business event. Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
Negative. I love that show but it's just too dang long for us. We'll be at ATA then home for a bit before we head out to the Lancaster Classic. After that I'm not sure what, if any, shows we'll do this year.
Hope you will go sometime but understand the distance and likely the cost. You guys are my current favorite show, you do an outstanding job. I watched all 9 seasons throughout 2018.
I’d like to see trail cameras with at least some internal storage along with PC software that would log photos to compare with weather/lunar data. Kinda like a journal for lazy people like me or who just don’t have the time to keep track of all that. Anybody else have anything they want to see?
I’ve emailed hawk hunting about the battlebox blind 3 different times and facebook messenger them and then sent a fourth email and have no response from them at all talk about poor customer service. I’d like to know what happened to them things. They were a hit at the ata show last year and then boom they disappeared like they never existed...
Pretty sure they were bought by the same company that bought Muddy, Mainstream Holdings. Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
An easier to set hang on treestand would be cool but Idk how much easier it could get. Would take a very innovative new technology I guess. I’m just getting older, fatter, and more clumsy so I’m wishing for a miracle invention haha.
Can you guys check out what the D'Acquisto's are up to with Lone Wolf Custom Gear?! That is what I'm most excited about!
Will do. I know for sure they have a trail camera they are releasing. Not sure if they're doing anything with stands or sticks...
As always, I will be hanging out in the Magnus Broadheads booth every day. Please stop by and say "hey" if you are there. I'd love to talk broadheads, deer hunting, turkey hunting, video work, etc with anyone who wants to stop by. Or just bs about most anything too. Booth #3713
Hard to say from year to year what's going to be hot and what's not. Couple things I'm seeing/hearing so far... New laser rangefinding sight from Burris Updated rangefinding sight from IQ New trail camera from Lone Wolf Custom Gear (Andrae's new company). Possibly a stand/sticks as well. Tapered FMJ arrows from Easton. 6 mm at the broadhead end to accept a HIT insert, 4 mm at the nock end. New "Bowhunter Elite" line from ScentLok. 2 blade expandable head from Ramcat that uses a piston to drive the blades open on impact. 470 fps crossbow from Tenpoint Updated X nock sized model from Lumenok
On Lone Wolf Custom Gear's Instagram they have sneak peak pics of a few different products. So far they have posted a trail camera, a bow (Lobo, I heard by Darton), and a stick. Strong rumors are also going around that they have a lightweight stand and a saddle platform along with what's been mentioned.
