Weed calms anxiety and the other drug steadies your heart rate.

Guess that helps archers. If it were just the weed...big deal. Now the other one I can see being a problem.

That drug is commonly used to treat high blood pressure. Wonder if he had a prescription for it.

have you ever played video games (specifically a first-person shooter) against a stoner? Like someone who smokes a lot? They zone in like nobody's business. They completely tune everything else out and kick ass. It could definitely help someone out in an archery competition.

The other drug he would almost have had to have a prescription to obtain, I am guessing. I've never hear of it as a drug of abuse. But just because he has a prescription for it doesn't mean it's not against the rules or would not give him an unfair advantage. It steadies heartbeats and is also an anti-anxiety med. I'd say that's a definite advantage.

As tranqued out as this guy was, I am guessing when he received the news he his response was "meh, whatever."

    huh....from Wiki:

    Society and culture[edit]
In a 1987 study by the International Conference of Symphony and Opera Musicians, it was shown that 27% of interviewed members admitted to using beta blockers such as propranolol for musical performances.[66] For about 10–16% of performers, their degree of stage fright is considered pathological.[66][67] Propranolol is used by musicians, actors, and public speakers for its ability to treat anxiety symptoms activated by the sympathetic nervous system.[68] It has also been used as a performance-enhancing drug in sports where high accuracy is required, including archery, shooting, golf[69] and snooker.[69] In the 2008 Summer Olympics, 50-metre pistol silver medalist and 10-metre air pistol bronze medalist Kim Jong-su tested positive for propranolol and was stripped of his medals.[70]

    sooo, yeah- he cheated.

No wonder why Shane is in favor of long distance shots....It all adds up now. Shane + pot (steadier aim) = long range shots.

Pretty sure he's not a professional archer for a living - at least not that I'm aware of. I would venture to say this isn't going to ruin his life either. Make him look like a dumbass, sure. But not ruin his life.

And we need photo proof of the hot wife so we can judge for ourselves.

That's what an illustrious career as a performance-enhanced professional target archer will get ya.

No. That would not be correct. The tournament will have its rules set in place regardless the state it is held in. If you don't like the rules, don't enter the contest
