Like how bottom are the bottoms? are there hills nearby? If so the bucks bed up high, and go low during the night. I'm only asking because those could all be made at night. I hunt pure hardwoods thick and nasty. all types of terrain, but nothing like that unfortunately.
Rebel. Send us the GPS coordinates where you are scouting...lot if guys will give you a hand. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
The access road is closed off due to fallen trees so there's no movement down it I never even saw another vehicle while I was out. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
What is the predominant wind during hunting season? Around here it is N to NW. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Areas I would check out or looks at for a set in orange. My suspected bedding areas (from topo + aerial) in red. Also a appears to be water (possibly seasonal) 100' N and 300' WNW. These may be huge opps early season or in hot weather. I like the NE corner of the N pond and the E side of the WNW pond (close to woodlines). I'm not saying your area is bad, but it's VERY close to the road. Zooming way out, there appears to be a lot of Ag land up behind Macedonia church. I suspect it's leased/hunted and animals will probably be feeding at night (since I see trails on the W sides of his fields)...so positioning near the evergreens top right in the morning/evenings may allow you catch some in transit.
Dang that's some good Intel from the map. I like that. I see the natural funnels and such bc you circled out the set spots and the whole terrain scouting all makes sense to me now. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Went in today jumped 7 deer and I went in 1 1/2 hour before light. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

The very left red area. They were at the point where I turned to start up the valley. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
So I would def say you were right with your suspected bedding areas. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
My fault I should a went closer to the creek but it rained and I was sinking a good foot bc that's a seasonally flooded area. Will wear muck boots in the morning. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
I'll be checking out this area on tuesday. the good thing about it is that on the other sied of the property line is bowhunting only which goes til january 31st. To the right of the property line (the state forest that I hunt) only goes till november 13th, then its shotgun season. If it looks good. Ill park and walk in through the warzone wearing orange to get to the property line. I figure I should be ok walking through the area as long as my bow is attached to my back pack. fingers crossed! I'm not ready for my season to be over in two weeks!
Cousin ended up with a nice 10 point. I had a chance at a giant 8...he was making a scrape at 30 and I had a hole to shoot through but thought he was gonna continue down the same trail to give me a nice 20 yard shot...nope he trotted through the thicket to the left as soon as he got to 25 and behind a bunch of junk. Grunted him back to 35 but he stayed in the thicket...maybe next week I’ll go back one morning and see if I can get on him Mathews Halon Black Eagle outlaws Magnus Buzzcut 4 blades Nasty combo
