OK.... I thought we were talking about Bill and you being his campaign manager for the mayor of green Bay. Just so you, know, the current mayor is a putz and is not running for reelection in 2019 (yes,2019-not a typo). So, there will be at least 2 campaign managers jobs open. Get crackin!
I don't think Belichick would go to Green Bay. Why would he leave one organization with a QB holding a lot of power for another one. If he is in fact parting ways I could see him going to Cleveland. A young team with a fresh QB that he can work with. I could see them giving him a Grudenesque type of yearly salary. If he has something to prove, it would be that he can take a team with issues and a young inexperienced QB to the next level with his system. Not hopping on a seasoned veteran with a lot of decision making power who probably has 4 seasons left tops, if he stays healthy. The Bears got to him yesterday and he was showing it.
This statement is interesting. With all those deficiencies, how else he supposed look? If he has no time to throw and no one to throw to, what is supposed to do to make packer fans happy? People like to say that he is supposed to throw guys open, that is some crap term some broadcaster dreamt up because there is no such thing. Either a receiver has the ability to separate or he doesn’t. Right now they don’t so that’s why he throws balls away - he does not trust his receivers to gain separation. MM ended up being somewhat of a scapegoat in this whole thing but the truth is he couldn’t make something out of nothing, just like Aaron Rogers can’t. But you guys need someone to blame. How was the play calling this weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In the case of "throw them open" it isn't meant that he'll over throw him and increase forward speed of the receiver, but more that he will either throw to his inside or outside away from the defender in order to create a better angle or increase the separation so the defender cannot get between the ball and receiver. Once commited to the route the receiver maintains focus on the QB and ball and the QB sees both the WR and DB simultaneously and can take advantage of it. As much as I cannot stand Collinsworth he made the "he threw him open" reference during last nights game with I think Foles and it was a textbook example of it.
Rodgers expects the receivers to adjust to his game. He's said so himself in an indirect way. This should be the other way around. Two of the starting receivers on the team are rookies and he's throwing passes to them like they are Jordy Nelson and he gets upset when they don't catch it or the pass is nowhere near them. He said after yesterday's game that him and the receivers are "on the wrong page". That's a cop out. Nobody should be on the wrong page in week 15. It's somebodies fault. Throwing someone open is not a crap term. It's when a quarterback throws to a receiver and puts it where only they can catch it even with perfect coverage. And up until last year Aaron Rodgers was the best in the league at it. Having a qb that has this ability can make up for the poor route running that plagues the NFL today.
I don't get to see Rodger's press conferences...except when he says **** like RELAX. Has he ever taken blame or responsibility for poor play or losing?
Saints certainly look defeatable tonight. Granted they are not home in the dome, but maybe the fast paced play of the 11-X teams is catching up to them. Big Ben is 18-12 in indoor venues. Hoping that goes up to 19-12. Wish the staff could keep the players in limbo of the Chargers/Ravens game Saturday, but in the digital/social media era probably not possible.
Well coach germ did it, with great roster moves and pickups this year, I have made it to the championship game for my FF league. Anybody know is James Conner going to play this week?
Whether or not his receivers can get open, the dude has all day to throw on the majority of his passes.
100% idiot He had the opportunity to put people around him to keep him straight. He had the money to get the best treatment and care. He most likely had a babysitter to try and keep him walking the line. Couldn't do it. That right there is a 100% idiot. My understanding is weed is his drug of choice, which everyone out there is telling me that it's not addictive so again 100% idiot.
You know give it up for 5-7 years and you can buy an island covered in weed when you are done you idiot.
Weed is only slightly addictive. What gets these guys are their weak coping skills. They do not have/learn proper coping skills to deal with life stressors, and turn to weed/alcohol or other drugs early in life, victims of their environment and poor decision making. (Sorry run on sentance) Unfortunately once they are in high profile careers, still the only way they know how to cope is to use weed.
