Carolina is going to be a sleeper team this year, I think. I'm going to make a wild prediction that if the Eagles or Rams don't go to the super bowl, it'll be either the Falcons or Panthers. I still think the Steelers have the AFC on lock and if Cleveland doesn't win at least half of their games next season with the talent they've recruited just in the last four years they should go on a firing spree.
Just a funny scenario I just ran across on a Facebook thread regarding Cousins driving his van after signing his deal with the Vikes. The top comment states: "What kind of team gets rid of their starting QB the year after getting into the NFC Championship game? Lmao. GO PACK GO!!!!" The next comment... "The 2007 Packers."
Let's be honest though Jake, Brett flew back to Green Bay and cried and said that he gave all he had to the Packers and he was done playing, they moved on Aaron was already considered the starter and had a million $ escalator in his contract if he was the starting QB.
I think the Queens win the division ( only to lose in the playoffs again ). If the packers get a wildcard I will be surprised. Unless the defense has improved dramatically, but I think they are still a year away from their defense being any good.
New coordinator, new players, I don’t see how it could be any worse and it’s already been proven that if Rodgers is healthy we make the playoffs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If I throw all of my bias out I believe this same thing. Rodgers can only carry a team so far. As much as I want the Vikings to win, I don't believe they will (Great lineup on offense and defense... But they are the Vikings, tempering my expectations).
I still think the Vikings will win the division. And with how good the NFC is going to be this year getting a wildcard is going to be tough. The Pack's defense has been too bad for too long for me to have any confidence in them right now. Especially before they've even played a game yet.
Danielle Hunter agrees to contract extension with Vikings. Excellent signing. Excited to see how he develops. Only 23 and a freak of an athlete. Going to be difficult for the Vikings to sign Barr.
I forgot about Diggs. I would think they keep him after they signed Cousins, but the defense is always a priority for Zimmer. Who knows what’s going to happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Right now they have $12 mil in cap space. Pat kirwan said today that they could actually lower Barr’s cap hit from $12 mil to $7 mil by extending him now. Leaves room for diggs after singing Hughes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
GB will have their hands full with Minnesota. GB has the edge in the quarterback department, but I think Kirk Cousins is the best quarterback Minnesota has had in a long time. I say in a tough one Minnesota wins the division. The NFC seems like so many different teams are going to be contenders and the same 3 or 4 teams every year run the AFC. Pittsburgh is arguably the best team in the NFL with the exception of their only real downfall being their inability to beat NE. NE is destined to struggle this season with its distractions and lack of overall talent and lets be honest, Jessie James caught that ball against NE last year and that would have put Pittsburgh playing NE at home and in the playoffs and winning the super bowl.
Minneapolis miracle with the best moment in sports (obviously). Don’t even have to be a sports fan to appreciate what happened that night. The bigger thing tonight is Jim Kelly. What an amazing speech that I won’t forget for a while. This quote in particular: “If you have somebody out there suffering, it doesn't have to be cancer ... the smile on your face, that can be the difference. Like Jimmy V said, 'Don't ever give up!'"
