Honestly, I don’t know how you can’t like Fitz-magic or Patrick Mahomes right now. Making football fun no doubt.

Do the Browns finally get that win tonight?

The Baker era begins with a win. Pretty cool.

Remember when I posted that the Browns were a playoff team this year? They are a kicker away from being 3-0.

Yeah the kid is a real tool but he can play ball.

He was a walk on at OU because other colleges didn’t want to put up with his attitude and his dad’s meddling. I can’t root for him but I will acknowledge he looked impressive for his professional debut last night.

Pretty fun game to watch last night actually. Helped that I was the only one in my pick em league to choose them and I have Hyde on my fantasy team.

Arrogance is needed for an NFL quarterback

To a degree, absolutely, as in all professional athletes. If they don’t believe they are better than 99.9% of their peers and exude n confidence, cockiness, arrogance....whatever adjective you wish to describe.... they probably aren’t going to make it to that level.

But, IMO, he is over the top relative to other professional athletes. Regardless of my opinion, what isn’t opinion but fact is the cinderella story about being a walk on is embellished and taken out of context. There were many Div 1 schools interested in him from an athletic ability, but weren’t willing to compromise their standards and team unity with the baggage that came with him. That is why he was a walk on, not that he was under the radar.

And then the way he acted at OU only validated their concerns. But hey if you can run fast enough, throw well enough, or whatever the case may be, someone will always look the other way and find a spot for you in our gluttony for appetite sports culture. I hope he has grown up and doesn’t become another Manzel. Early indications suggests he will not. But he will always be only “one drink away” in my opinion from imploding.

And before someone takes out of text , that is a figurative reference to the drink, not a literal one. I have no idea about his drinking habits.

What exactly did he do at OU to hurt your feelings? Grab his crotch? Get a DUI? Or was it the flag plant? Dude was a baller at OU and he will be in the NFL as well. He’s one out our favorite Sooners down here. Had he been on any other team you root for he would have been yours as well.

That’s how I feel. Fans getting mad at arrogant players is crap, that’s their job.

I agree. They are there to entertain and Baker is excellent at it. That chip he’s got on his shoulder is what makes him special.

Almost 26 years to the day Favre made a similar appearance off the bench for the injured starter and lead the Packers to a come from behind victory. Pretty cool considering the comparisons made about both of them.

I hadn't heard that. Definitely cool though. He reminds me a lot of Favre's style of play. Both of them are/were exciting to watch.

A lot of those type of players need the arrogance reigned in. You might think grabbing his crotch or planting the flag was “cool” or a form of arrogance or even entertainment? But wait until a player like that does something and might play for your favorite team and it costs the team a penalty, score or the player is even suspended for the conduct. You would hopefully think different at that point?

Having said that a lot of the players lose all forms of discipline at times (it’s about them at that moment) and don’t care how it might effect the team or them at that moment. I really despise that!!

Last season Demarious Randall intercepts a ball against Dallas that was thrown right to him. He returned it for a score. Great!! But he needed to get away from everyone so the camera was just on him so everyone can see him. Then he flips the ball toward a Dallas player! 15 yard penalty! That’s not cool or entertaining to me. He caught a ball thrown right to him and ran a few yards for a score!

After the game he denied that he was even penalized when questioned about it.?!?! Just an example..... but a lot of games have something similar.

KLBB is off the air and that was my source of listening to the Packers on the radio.

Why couldn't the vikings play this way last weekend. I still think they win today though. It is buffalo after all.

The Packers defensive backs have been terrible for the better part of a decade. But, this may be a new low.
