My 9 yr old daughter asked to go on her first kayak fishing trip with me. She ended up catching 8 fish in about two hours. Absolutely killed it. I was so proud of her. She paddled all over the lake and reeled in fish after fish.

Headed to Florida over the 4th going to do some kayak fishing on the gulf. I spend more time saltwater fishing than I do fishing at home.

I’m going smallmouth/trout fishing this week and surf fishing in Virginia Beach in 3 weeks. Will have cameras rolling. Should be a great time!

Heading to the north woods in WI tomorrow. Bunch of fishing and drinking. We will be after a little bit of everything. Large and small mouth bass, musky, and walleye. If I’m lucky I’ll catch my first musky. Had some follows and a strike last year. So we will see. I’ll post some pics whenever I get signal again. Lol.

Well the weekend went by pretty quick. We didn’t catch a ton of fish but I was able to bring in my PB walleye while trolling. [IMG]

Very nice walleye, I met up with my taxidermist friend and got the walleye back on the wall with a new head it looks better than new. Going to book a trip with a charter captain this week I want to catch a tarpon.

Thanks. You got pics of your walleye?

If anyone else has fish on the wall I’d like to see them too. I haven’t sent one to the taxidermist yet but maybe someday.

I caught the walleye almost 27 years ago on my honeymoon. I called it the night before and said I was going to catch one for the wall the next day. I believe if you ask my loving bride it was the last time I was right.

Only fishing on the Gulf of Mexico can you cast your ass off for 2-1/2 hours and then catch 3 fish on consecutive casts and that is it.

We out with a guide today caught some snook, catfish, needlefish, I had something on that that did nothing but take line for 30 seconds there was nothing that could be done there was no turning or slowing the fish it just ran. The guide figured it was a shark. Good time well worth the money even if my wife caught the biggest fish. I did catch a tern as well, pretty close to getting the sea bird grand slam on a rod an reel, I have the tern, the freshwater gull, all I need is the heron and the grand slam will be complete.

View from dock in NW Ontario. Over 50 miles of water to ourselves. Fishing from a fly-in lake.

Thanks but I’m back. Sadly I have to wait for June 2019.

I do have a Husky Jerk in clown color. I don’t believe I used it this year. I used a lot of XRaps. Hot Steel and Parrot colors were dominant this year. Any color jig head tipped with plastic tails, Frozen minnow or night crawler also were incredible.

To change things up you could stand and cast a spoon. My buddy at one point did 14 casts in a row with a spoon and boated 12 pike and lost the other 2 at the boat. It was insane!
