Use what you've got and are confident in. Native Americans used to kill them with a rock tipped stick. YMMV but shot placement gives you some margin. But keep mind elk are much bigger than deer...a mountain horse with swords growing out of its head. Soooo...yeah. Bz_711's from last year...me (with the hat) along to carry it... I will be in attendance for as long as i can. I am flexible on when i can be in the unit. Planning on doing some in-person scouting in the coming weekends. I have some areas ive talked to dan about looking in but please let me know if you have any requests/suggestions on spots for me to check out. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I will be setting up camp near wil’s camp but still hang around with everybody. I went back on my own in 2017 and had a great time. Going to Elk camp 2016 made 2017 possible. For those of that are on the fence you will not find a better opportunity to meet some of the friendliest hunters on the planet.
When are you getting there? Im hoping to be able to meet lots of the guys but Ill be leaving Sunday the 16th. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I leave in 3 weeks from tomorrow. My broadheads are flying true, my gear is planned out, and I'm mentally ready. I still need to get some honey dos done and plan/purchase my food. I have dinners basically done but need to buy lots of oatmeal and snacks for during the day. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Cant believe I leave in 3 days. This trip has snuck up on me but has also taken forever to get here. All I have left to do is continue to shoot my bow, sharpen broadheads, pack the car, and survive the next 3 days of work. Cant wait to finally meet Bill even though we have have talked on here for a couple years. Anyone that makes it to camp have a good time! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
