    A good cold front, with a pile of snow, and a northerly wind is hitting today through Friday. Could of really used this in the beginning of December during the season! Unfortunately I will be just waiting for it to clear out Friday evening to get back after some fur.

    Also, I have made a vow to stay out of my quality shed spots until Valentine's day at the earliest. That is going to be very very difficult, but would definitely pay off. I was able to pick up 56 sheds last year which was my best total to date. With the amount of quality food and most permission I've ever had this year, along with new pup I should be able to break 60 this year. Here are some of the more memorable.

    I started turkey hunting about 5 years ago. I am terrible at mouth calls and can only yelp a little bit but I still enjoy it. I always put in for a state park hunt here in Illinois and I also hunt our place in Indiana which has a ton of birds in the area. The bad thing about Indiana is their season starts a tad bit late so sometimes the hunting can be pretty tough especially if the birds have shut up by then.
    So far all of my birds have been taken with a shotgun but I am thinking about getting a plan together to take a bird with a bow this year.

    mine is 7 and is showing great potential. not just hitting but his fielding is crazy good. hitting is awesome because I taught him how to place the ball where he needs to. he is still in training league where the coaches pitch to the kids so we have this coming year to work on a few more things before going up a division next year..

    My 9 month old is in 18 month clothes. We've already narrowed down his O-lineman scholarship to Clemson and Bama...
