Well fellas I have finally made it back out to the woods. Sitting over some bean stubble tonight. I wasn't planning on sitting here but the deer sign I saw as i was walking in made my choice for me. So I made a makeshift ground blind and we will see what happens.

I am sorry i have not been as active as i usually am but between some extra projects at work and the baby it's been a busy last couple months. If and when we bring home the win I will be more present next year.

I'm on stand over looking the turnips again hoping a doe shows up. Feels good to be out again.

If my dad decides not to hunt in the morning I’ll be out in the stand I shot my buck out of

Had a doe come in at last light but needed 10 more minutes of shooting light. It was a nice cold evening.

Alarms are set, wind will be perfect, and it’ll be cold. Can’t wait to get back in a tree tomorrow! I’ll be smoking a doe if I get the chance

Mine is about worthless...but I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She’s been my loyal companion for 8 yrs.

A local breeder by me. I named him Ruck, short for ruckus and he's slowly upholding that. I have been working with him twice a day for some short training sessions and he is doing awesome. He took a liking to a fat hen Oldsquaw that I shot on saturday when I threw it for him a few times. Retrieved it and brought back to me, and loved holding it in his mouth. He is going to be a big, big boy.

If your interested I have the Evan Graham series of training books that I won’t be needing anymore. If you want to pay shipping ($5-7?) you are welcome to them. It’s about a 50-60 set of binder books. Everything from puppy to experienced retriever. Look them up on gundogs webpage and see if you think you might like them. 131EFAB1-9B5C-4017-8D03-A7B4A9579CDF.jpeg

Well that sucks. Have fun with that new best friend. Too bad I’m not closer to you I’ve got a list of training supplies.
Let me know if you need anything.
