My wife made 5 dozen cookies to take to family Christmas...I just finished 5 pounds of jerky as my contribution.

    Dear brothers in arms,
It has been a pleasure competing with you all this season. I do believe that we will infact have the opportunity to compete as a team again next year. Winning will be awesome, but the friendships formed, extended and enjoyed are the prize we shall enjoy. The very best thing to come from this is IF we win we can keep this thread and truly assist each other in the entire process of management. That is often overlooked but not lost on this group. So as I prepare to spend the next few days enjoying and loving family, know that you are all in my thoughts. Have a wonderful Christmas my friends. Hope Santa brings new gear and lease options.

    Fix

Not yet. I’m doing a euro mount myself so I should get a tape on him in the next couple days. I got all of the hide and a lot of the tissue and junk boiled/cut off yesterday.

Fix well said brother. I really hope we can win this thing and be able to stay in touch through management over the spring and summer. Enjoy your time with family these next few days and into the new year. Let’s keep hunting hard for those of us who can still contribute. Blessings and well wishes to you all!

Merry Christmas guys. How lucky am I to have been an alternate to your team. You all are good at what you do in chasing those whitetails.
I will hopefully be out in the morning if I can get my lazy butt up. We have been all over the place for dinners and early Christmas.

Had the big 10 show up this morning. Sadly coyotes pushed him away from me. He exited the woods heading away from me and walked right under my tree stand. I’m on the other side of field watching him.
He crosses creek and is walking the other side so I hit the antlers and grunt. He jumps creek and starts heading my way(couldn’t believe it) so I go into hyper mode trying to get my chair folded down and get set. All I see is horns walking to a small pice of woods behind me and down wind. He doesn’t show up.
Out pop 4 yotes from where he came from and get skittish at 60 yards. I took a shot and missed under the belly.
I had to leave early for Christmas and the only way to get to my truck was where I thought he went. After an hours wait I make my way to the truck and of course he bedded down in that woods. All I can say is I am knocking on his door. If the wind works out I’ll go back to treestand and watch from there.
This was him jumping his bed and going back to where he started. Any thoughts???? Will he stay close to his habits this late. Sorry for the ramble.
