So I set up a camera on my new spot and placed it on video. It’s only been maybe 2 weeks but beer are moving in front of the blind without seeming spooked. First deer, a young 8, defiantly was cautious but they seemed to take to it ok. But I had a video with 4 coyotes walking by and several loaner ones.
I’m not an experienced yote hunter but last year I placed a red light on a 22-250 but struck out. I need to kill these things badly.

I’m lucky and the neighbor kills a ton of coyotes where I’ve got the coyote issue this year. He’s killed about 8 or 9 so far this year

I’ve heard good things about browning cameras. I’ve always been loyal to stealth cams but if you buy a lower end model of theirs they are straight up doo doo. Gotta fork over the cash for the ones that work

I’ve been wanting to try one out but I can’t bring myself to spend $300 on one camera when I can buy 3 or 4 regular trail cams for that same amount. It would be nice to know what you’ve got moving thru without having to walk into your spot and leave scent or jump something though.

With this new spot I have to hunt, I think they might be the way to go. It’s about 30 min from home and is a pretty large area to cover. Might just need to fork over the money for it

It sounds stupid but I love the feeling of checking cameras. It wouldn’t feel the same receiving them directly from my phone. But it does make way more sense and is better overall for hunting a specific property.

I completely agree. I get way too excited to go out and check cams and hoping and wondering what might be on them

Back at it again boys. First time hunting this property. It looks amazing, lots of cover. It’s about 50/50 waist high CRP & mature woods with pines scattered all over. Had a camera out here for 2 weeks. Nothing big but a couple bucks that at this point I would kill without thinking twice about it. Set up a pop up blind 20 yds off a big pinch point and brushed it in the best I could. It’s risky hunting it but what do I have to lose, season’s dwindling.
