I don't even brush mine in...just get em up early and the deer adjust. All but one of my deer have been killed from a blind, natural or pop-up.

The close encounters I’ve had with big bucks mine weren’t brushed in either at the time.

I wouldn’t worry about trying to wash it. Just get it out there and brush it in the best you can. If you have any pine trees or evergreen trees around the branches are great for brushing it in and helping to conceal the scent. If you can get a blind out and let it sit for a week or two the deer will just get used to it. I killed my doe from a blind in October. While I prefer being in a tree, most of my hunting for the rest of this season will be done from a ground blind. My best tree stands are much more exposed now that all of the trees are naked of leaves and blinds are great for keeping you out of the wind and snow/rain. Not to mention, I can pack my buddy propane heater to use in the blind when it’s really cold.

    This ^^^^

Killing a doe is a heck of alot easier than putting down a big buck! Gotta get out there and knock a couple more does down if we’re gonna pull this thing off fellas! I’m not giving up until I get a buck on the ground or the calendar reads Jan. 16. My standards are getting lower every time I strike out...

I prefer being in a tree as well but one of my properties has a spot where I think the ground blind will work the best. Plus it’s closest to food right now and close to bedding.
I have a week off during Xmas so hoping to get a blind and camera up to see if a buck made it through the gun-run! I will be setting it up today. I’m still after a buck! Good luck guys it’s been a fun team!

I’ve shot one doe from a blind in the past and it’s a different kind of rush being ground level with them. Just don’t like the limited view from them.

Ok boys I'm going to sneak into a very small area today. I call it the triangle. Its 100 yards from the house and 75 yards wide. It's high risk high reward. I have sat it 5-8 times this year with no luck. At this point im throwing everything against the wall and seeing what sticks

Checking in. Filmed for Tim this evening saw 10+ bucks in green field. Have a doe fest planned for end of this month with Tim, Dustin and my father so I hope to drip one then. Tight race it appears so I'll try to add 50.

I graduate next Sunday. I’ll have more time hunt over Christmas break so I’ll do my best to add 50 points as well

    2018 B Buck.png Hi Guys
I can finely say i can add to the team had two yearlings come by today in the AM. I was in the heater body suit and they ran to the stand had them under me as i wiggled out of the HBS the little guy ran 50 yds and went down narrow shot window and almost facing away turned just enough to get a shot cut his heart almost in half. I will get this uploaded for the 50 points. Still have several hunts left this year so i may get another opportunity:nana:

    Great job capt.

I passed a crazy looking buck this morning, I was going to shoot him as he was a 70 class basket but he has a 7-8 inch secondary main Beam coming out of the front and I can't wait to see what he becomes next year. Tonight was the last night of gun here so I went out to my brother's and with in 30 minutes killed two slob does...that's kinda why i don't like or use a gun much too damn easy.Im traveling for work this week but I'll be in the stand this weekend to finish out my season strong as possible. Good luck to any and all still grinding

good luck guys! keep pushing and get on something green! all the deer around here are on fields because the woods don't have much feed to offer.

You guys sure are making this interesting. We still have a few annual killers who haven't tagged a buck yet. This should get interesting!!! Good luck and stay safe boys.
