I'm a d!ck. I came out to check trail cams and the new guy with permission to hunt here has set up a bootleg feeder 5 yards from my ladder stand. He will be surprised when he comes out tomorrow morning and the bottom of the ladder is missing! 20181109_155128.jpg
That stand is 18 yards from the best community scrape in the county...no GD feed is required! I'm SO pissed!
    IMAG0020.JPG
    IMAG0132.JPG That's it...step right in that scrape.

I would have done the same thing especially if he hadn't reached out to me about it.
I'll be out all day tomorrow activity on the camera has been slow but I know there are bucks in there so hopefully I can put a good one down!

I asked the property owner about the feeder and they didn't have any issues with it. They actually asked me to keep them posted on the corn level and deer activity on my camera. I'm about to take my ball and go home...

Where are the giants hiding at this year Terry? Seems like you usually have had a couple encounters with some big boys at this point in the season.

Well I got him! Turns out he was dead immediately after the shot. Better safe than sorry! He ran 20 yards. Double lung shot at 40 yards I couldn’t be happier. Not a huge scoring buck but he’s an old deer with a huge body! I’m on the board boys! I’ve got him taped just need to look at the score sheet. Think he was only 116ish or something but seemed a little low to me.

Nice buck! So, did you back out unnecessarily? He looks 122"ish to me.

Yep backed out and didn’t need to. When I got down to check my arrow I was 15 yards away from a dead deer and didn’t know it. I thought I heard him crash from the stand but didn’t know if he actually crashed or ran through brush into a clearing

Awesome!! Congrats Ben! That’s a nice buck! Looks like a 120-130 class to me just looking at the pics.
