It’s a good thing you got there when you did Joe. We’ll be praying for her.

    .

Me. I have 5 days starting Friday to hopefully get on a buck. I hope it’s not too late as they are moving good here. Got some frosty mornings coming though so I’ll try to stay patient.

She is probably only 1.5 yrs - 2.5 yrs old. She had two young ones with her still. I wasn't going to take her since I still have several days to hunt. But just couldn't pass her up. I will just keep her in the cool garage and packed with ice. Should hopefully be ok.

I’m thinking about coming down with a serious fever late Thursday night and all day Friday

Heading out tomorrow morning super early to hunt before work. Can’t pass up an opportunity to be in a stand the next 2 weeks. Luckily my boss is cool with me coming in a little late a couple days!.

It’s all on the live from the stand thread. I shot a nice 8 this morning. 40 yd shot, broadside, as soon as I punched the release he took a step and I hit him pretty far back and only got 8-10” of penetration. No blood, no arrow, no buck. I’m guessing I bumped him this morning before I backed out because me and a buddy grid searched the cover he ran to for 2 hrs this afternoon 6 hrs later and found nothing.

Once Troy quits sandbagging and gets his brute posted we should be in the top 2 or 3

That’s a bummer Okie! Hopefully he’s still alive or he’s holed up somewhere and you’ll find him. Never found my buddies buck yesterday I got back on blood last night in the rain and got into the bean field and it was gone

We walked both sides of the river and didn’t find anything. We had so much rain here in Sept. & Oct. that the river is deep and was running pretty good. It’s possible that if he got in the river and died that the body could’ve been swept quite a ways down stream.

It’s just one of the unfortunate things that comes with bowhunting I guess. I’ve lost a doe before but this is the first buck that I’ve lost. Sucks!
