Thanks, I had never seen that show before. That is 100% how I hunt this woodlot!

My other properties are 5, 24 and 52 acres...I wouldn't know what to do with a big woods, ag field, etc. Anybody else ever decoy in a maintained backyard? :ninja:

This is the 10 that I seen mid October. Hope to get him in range. 185BFEA1-1B10-4DE1-9373-778EDA9CD853.jpeg Had this guy under my stand today. Very hard to not draw on him but hope he makes it through to next year.

I can’t find the does to save my life. Between 3 of us, we saw 9 bucks last night. Only one shooter out of the 9.

The 8? Maybe 120? Posted him when we all started the team and I thought then he would be passed. It’s hard to do. Whats your thoughts.

Well, it was a perfect morning in the stand but not a single thing was moving I couldn't for the life of me figure out why until about 830 when a pack of 6 coyotes came strolling through! I called to them but they just looked and then moved on, In all honestly they were probably in the area from my doe gut pile so hopefully next weekend they have moved off!

Best friend shot an 11 pointer this morning at 7:00. Hit him in the shoulder and he tore off. He gave him a couple hours before on the blood trail this is what he sent me so far. He said he’s gone 120 yards and has good and spotty blood as well what do you guys think dead deer? He thought he had 12 inches of penetration. IMG_0243.JPG IMG_0244.JPG IMG_0245.JPG

I had a shoulder hit two years ago with a blood trail with pools identical, if not more severe, than the ones he is finding. Bumped the buck 4 hours after my shot and he was never recovered. I would suggest treading lightly!

No personal experience, but 12" of penetration is promising.

He hasn’t found the arrow so it must be in him guessing. Collin did you find your arrow on that buck you shoulder shot?

I did. About 10” of penetration. Slightly quartering to. The blood trail was all muscle blood, no bubbles. When I jumped him, he looked in rough shape moving very low to the ground. After 2 full days of searching, I came up empty handed. Blood trailed him 400+ yards

Kade did say he found bubbles in the blood so that is a good sign at least. I shoulder hit one a couple years ago and got like 4 inches of penetration and had a similar trail ended up bumping him in a creek and got pics of him the summer after
