I need to put up my last stand soon. It's a place I don't hunt until the rut because it's only 5 acres. The property is only 100 yards wide, but it has the main pinch point in a 150 acre block of woods.

I just checked the extended forecast and there’s a cold front coming for the opening week of the season heck yeah. High of 64 and low of 44 for the opener with a perfect NE wind for me that day is the forecast.

I think it happens with the P series. I’ve got the P18 I believe and it’s all sorts of screwed up but it takes pictures. I really like the G series of stealth cams

So I went ahead and ordered two of the millinium M25 hang on stands from cabelas since I had reward points to spend. Ordered the 20’ climbing sticks from sportsman’s guide for $35 each which was just too cheap to pass up. Looking forward to getting them in and stands hung. Normally by this time I’ve had all my stands hung and been running trailcams for 2 months but unfortunately I’m running way behind. Just been too much going on lately with coaching both of my boys baseball teams, work responsibilities, church league softball, and back to school stuff...

I feel behind this year as well only having my cameras out for a couple months. I usually have them out all year long and stands done way sooner. I was also coaching a 17u travel baseball team and umpiring this summer, and also playing softball which didn’t give me much free time.

I’m getting real anxious to get into the woods fellas. This cold front might result in some early buck movement for me when the first comes around I’m really excited

What's with the orange? In N.Y. you are not required to ever wear it

Archery opener corresponds with the early muzzle loader season.
