Well, I turned around to climb down and there he was 120 yards out in the beans. Couldn’t tell how big he was but he was big!

i think everyone is close to score soon. encounters are happening more frequently. i'll be good for 50 for sure. i usually wait until late season for that. i could of smoked a 115" 8pt last night but i elected to pass since the best is yet to come and there are big ones around my area. i think overall every teams numbers are down this year.

No luck tonight. Checked a camera close by and it looks like the deer are mostly nocturnal still at this spot. No shooter pics in the last week. Pretty typical though, the older bucks usually go off looking for early hot does but they will be back as soon as the first local doe goes into heat. Another week or so and it should be getting fun!

I've changed a lot as a hunter since taking my first whitetail in 2013. Thanks FB memories...

Rattled in a spike buck last night but that was the only deer I saw. Checked a cam and I have a spot with a good amount of mid morning doe movement so I here I am hanging out in a ground blind.

I’m trying to think of a plan to slip out after school today. One of those bucks is going to present himself here real soon and I need to be there. The stand I sat yesterday is incredibly easy to access I might go sit that and be in by 3:45

Well, great morning so far. Had a 115 follow the script perfectly and hang out in 3 shooting Lanes. Then I grunted in a 100 from 80 yards away. As soon as a big boy makes either of those mistakes it's on.

I've put eyes on 2 unknowns at 150 yards and had one hit the scrape 30 yards to my blind side.

Just had him at 30 yards. Swirling winds screwed me. He's back behind the blind, looking for me.

Just another spike for me this morning. High of 60 and windy tonight so I am staying in to hang out with family. Back at it tomorrow morning.

I switched properties and went with the decoy. This spike and BB were very intrigued. No other sightings.

Almost a wasted sit tonight boys... Only reprieve was a walking by card pull with a absolute beast on it. No history with him and given the time of year I may not see him again but a boy can dream Screenshot_20191104-183121.jpeg IMG_20191104_182110135.jpeg

Went out tonight with my son after I picked him up from preschool. Moved the ground blind and ended up seeing Deuce. He was about 12-15 yards away but on the other side of the fence. I can understand with his "condition" how he might want to avoid crossing over fences. Maybe next time.

All set up for the afternoon. The way things are going I am pretty sure I am in stand way to early. Probably going to be 5 hours of 5 hours of nothing then maybe 30 minutes of young deer. Oh well I guess it is better than being at work.

Running late today so I decided to sit a observation sit at my sanctuary. It's a gun stand but I need to get a inventory before Rut blows up
