Does broke grown-up count? I played D1 volleyball. Don't act like you're not impressed. :dan:

Solid! I’ve heard of Post! I’m a retired baseball player. Too many injuries derailed my career!

We're forecasted to get 4.5" of rain this weekend. I might be checking cams with a boat...

I am gunna honest guys I am not sure how my season is going to go, the deer have seemed to switch their summer pattern completely and I have not been getting the pictures I have in the past so I am optimistic, on the other hand, the years I have seen bucks on camera in the summer I didn't see much in the fall so we will see if there is a relationship, if that is true then I think I have a chance to see a giant that disappeared two years ago.

my son begs me to take him but I'm having him wait until he's 12. I fear of having him lose interest in hunting at such a young age. I feel he will understand things more when he's a bit older. I'm trying to stick to my decision the best I can. so we do many other outdoor activities instead to satisfy his urge.

Terry I think just taking him scouting with you is a lot of fun for them at that age. Teaching them about rubs, foot prints, identifying tree types, etc. are the basics to hunting. They don't have to sit still and you'll get to bond as father and son. Another idea is to take them and allow them to shoot a deer with a camera. They will get to feel the rush of adrenaline plus have a picture to hang on his wall.

Keeping it fun for them will be the key to them wanting to go back.

Just make sure to put a doe on the ground and that is a big help.

I am a single pin guy myself. I shoot a HHA King Pin. The clearer sight picture really helped tighten my groups.

Beat the sun up so I can get to my property and cut a few trails to my stands to ease access. I'll be pulling cards too. I hope to have something worth sharing by 9.

Well....nothing over 100 this pull. I did get a trail done though. Plus added a racket strap to a teetery ladder stand. I have a GD plethora of small bucks. All 2-3 years from being shootable.

My boys are 9 & 5. I’ve taken my 9 year old with me a few times. He loves it and if he’s with me we’ll post up in the pop up blind which is great for kids that have a hard time keeping still! Last year the two of us went out a few days before Christmas when it was really cold and shot 2 doe. Had to bust out the little buddy heater which made it bearable for my little guy.

we go shed hunting a lot, scouting, shooting guns, and now hes shooting his compound. he already knows all the different species of nuts and berries, so that's a bonus. this summer we did some fishing and hes hooked on that at the moment.

I swear my dad took me hunting as soon as I could walk. I was pretty much raised in a duck blind. Glad I’ve got a dad who raised me to love and enjoy the outdoors. Glad we’ve got dads in here to carry on the tradition I can’t wait to do the same someday!

Even though we live in the burbs, my daughter is the ultimate country girl. She even loves smelling my doe pee hands after doing mock scrapes!
