Well I was hoping for a doe tonight but nothing showed. This was new property for me so might take a year to figure it out. Nice healthy does and a couple small bucks on camera. Pretty sure I’m where I need to be with my stand. Planning on walking in the rain tomorrow and get a couple cards and set my climber in place for rutcation.

I’m looking to pick up a saddle to try my hand at that. That’s a whole way I’m not used to hunting but I need to be more mobile and able to make changes easier with my setups. With the new 2K property I think that’s the way to go about hunting that. Anybody ever use one? I like the Tethrd ones but they aren’t cheap and don’t ship for multiple weeks.

I had a nannie follow the script perfectly, but alas I do not need a hornless one. I did however practice pulling back on her in three of my Lanes.
Now I just need Young Bull to do that.

I’ve seen some posts on these setups but it just doesn’t spark my interest enough. Im so used to my climber that I couldn’t replace it. I can sleep real well in that thing on those all day sits.

Climbers just make me nervous for some reason.

    How so?

I’m tied off from ground up, then lock my top section down with ratchet strap. It’s very secure and mobile. Not trying to sell you on it as the saddle looks like a good option, but climbers work well.

I’m honestly not sure. Probably since I’m just unfamiliar with using them is why. I’m sure if I tried one and learned how to use it well I would be fine. I think saddles you might have more options as to what types of trees you can shimmy up into which is a big bonus for those

I have had a climber for years and loved being mobile. Now that I have had my same property for over ten years and I have almost 20 stands on it I do not have a need. I'm actually considering selling my climber as someone else could get more out of it. Saddles are the big thing right now, as they should be though. It's a great concept. Good luck Capt I'm sure you will love them

One of my property owners texted to see if I was hunting before the 4th. I just knew he was going to tell me some obscure relative was hunting my spot, so I started planning changes to my rutcation. Turns out, the guy just needs help moving something around the house. Yes sir...I'll be there today to help!!!

So notta this morning, I pulled cameras and 3 were dead. Young Bull was on them though. He is dead and doesn't even know it. I know he could be something special at 4 1/2 but I know me and if he comes by I'm shooting. I'm thinking mid 130s and that's enough for me. Screenshot_20191026-094136.jpeg
