    I didn't see a deer until I stepped out of the blind and blew out 2 does.

    That young 8 is the main buck on cam out there. Dude still has spots on his back! I'm going to call him Baby Booner...

    I'm sitting a 30 acre block that I haven't hunted in 3 years... Don't do why, I don't have a answer and it makes me look dumb lol
    I'm sitting in the original stand I put up when I took control of this farm 10 years ago. Few new ratchets over top of the old, new safety system and I'm good to go. Report back after dark or a arrow.

    Sometimes going back to the old is almost a new. That’s what I did last year. Hadn’t hunted there in 6 years and killed a buck. Good luck!

    The rain is pushing back tomorrow, so I'm headed back out in the morning. It was actually the wife's idea. I'm hoping the wind forecast is accurate or else I might be in the woodshed again.

    I’m giving it a try tomorrow morning. Usually west winds aren’t good for this stand, but the layout has somewhat changed so I’m seeing if movement has as well.

    Hey sorry guys, I got wrapped up with life. It was a great sit. I had 3 different bucks come by oddly enough a small medium and large. Only medium was within range. Although we need points I can't quite pull the trigger on a 90inch buck.

    So I took my friend out today for his first ever deer hunt. Had three does come in early and blow out. Thought that was going to be all she wrote. Saw a single doe later but would not come into range. A little while later I look at my buddy and he's weirdly raising up the crossbow and I ask him what he's doing. He says there's a buck right in front of us. I thought he was crazy but sure enough a little five pointer is standing broadside at 22 yards. I quickly turn the camera on and record him dropping the buck. The kid did most of the gutting and quartered most of it out himself. Couldn't be more proud of the young man. His name is Josh!
