Solid bucks! Do you have any other pictures of the 3 year old? He looks like he could be a stud 2 year old almost too!

Watching an old episode of BHOD and rector shot a buck that had just about no blood trail. Has anybody had that happen to them? I had that happen to me on this shot. No blood in the dark until I got within 10 yards of the deer. [IMG]

I have had no blood once with a bow. The arrow did not penetrate both sides so the blood just pooled inside the deer.

I have had no blood a couple times gun hunting with a shotgun. Luckily the deer all fell in sight.

Ask a shop if they have any to try. Also as long as you don't break it or tear it up most stores or websites will allow returns.

I shoot a Stan SX3 heavy metal. I am thinking of getting the plain sx3 as well.

What kind of shots did you have? This wasn’t a pass thru and I never found my arrow. I had another deer that I shot and hit back and low in the artery that runs along the bottom and he filled up inside no blood trail whatsoever

I should be as well. My dad just told me they are picking 300 acres of corn by my farm that’s beans and that’s the only corn around!

My doe in '15 went 60 yards without a drop of blood. Shot from the ground at 20 yards, hit was high double lung. Luckily/sadly her fawn followed her after the shot and then stood there until I walked up.

Deer dinner tonight is Lucky Charms, regular potato chips, BBQ chips, Cheetos, Doritos, Nutter Butters, strawberries, and tortillas. We lost a little 7 point to road traffic on Thursday.

I have a hard time hunting when it’s really warm. I’ll do it if I have a perfect wind and that’s about it!

Not sure if this needs to be said guys but when measuring a buck remember to measure to the 1/8 .

I am fat and sweat like crazy so I will usually avoid warm weather hunting.

I will probably not have a crack at a doe until late October. My county here in IL is buck only for the first two weeks of the season. It does not allow the harvest of a doe until after Oct 15th. In the past that first week is about the only time I see does on this specific property so we will see how it goes. I might have to wait until I get to Indiana later in the month.

This is the dumbest thing our state has ever done. Do any of you follow Don Higgins? He commented on this and related it to the crossbows. A large quantity of archery deer are starting to be harvested by them more and more every year. I’m not looking to get into a debate here either but he made a good point.
