I’m using the glue I got from Black Eagle Arrows and it seemed like it was pretty solid. I’ll tinker around and see if I can figure it out

Yeah the forecast for opening weekend looks awesome! I will definitely have to get out at least once.

I haven't shot very much this year compared to past years. I didn't even shoot any 3D this year which is unfortunate. So with the season starting next week I am trying to commit to shooting at least 30-40 arrows a day to try and get back in the swing of things. Mainly just making sure my form is consistent.

    Not to bad from 40

I could keep em in the black from 40...and that's why I don't shoot at critters over 25.

That’s how I was before I switched to a longer stabilizer and now I’ve gotten more accurate and my confidence is through the roof shooting my bow. I think I’m shooting a 10 inch fuse weighted stabilizer.

I am going to pick up Devcon 2-ton slow cure epoxy today after school and try that on my inserts. I think the glue that I was using dried too fast became brittle

I shoot a 10 inch Bee Stinger but I don't have a ton of weight on the front with this bow. Actually might go shorter because this bow feels so balanced. I have always been a fairly decent shot but the thing that really helped me get consistent is switching to a thumb release. Besides eliminating that bad habit of punching my trigger it also helped me get more consistent anchor points.

I want to try one of those out. I just don’t want to pay the price for a good one and don’t like buying cheap. Maybe next year I will be shooting one. I’m half determined to sell a pistol to buy a new bow. Depends on what Mathews will release.

Nope... But I think I might go out tomorrow afternoon and get back up in the same stand. Crazy to think the last two times I've sat in it I've shot a buck. Bought new broadcasts giving upon the NAP Doublecross and trying out some grim reaper hybrids.

Looking at next weeks weather for opening week, Monday and Tuesday there’s a big spike up to 85 and 80 degrees on Tuesday for opening day. If the wind is right I’ll go out. But, it’s going to drop 25 degrees the rest of the week and stay there with highs in the low 60s for an extended period of time! That gets me aroused.

I'm sweating out here! Opening morning isn't supposed to be 74° and 99% humidity. Doe and fawn spotted so far. My setup takes some explaining, but it's working...

The joy's of hunting urban/suburban deer. My plan A property for today requires text permission every time I hunt...she never responded to my text yesterday. Plan B property had just emailed me Wednesday saying not to hunt my stand because of a ground bee swarm. So plan C it is. I got out there and the wind was 180° from what it's forecasted to be. I jumped in the woodshed with white oaks dropping to my left and 3 acres of manicured grass to my right. The initial doe and fawn crossed by too quickly for a shot and then an unknown deer blew my cover. It was a fun first sit!

My little brother got his first Texas deer today. 18 yards with a 12 gauge slug.

Took a high school kid from church out on his property tonight. Had a doe 12 yards from us but the kid was fast asleep in his chair. Had other deer within 40 yards a couple of times but no other shot opportunities.
