    Hello Thwack Pack,

Thank you for allowing me to join in. I hunt small parcels in central Indiana and will try to help out as much as I can. This is my 3rd year and it has always been a lot of fun sharing our passion with you guys. Good luck. It’s shaping up for us to have an early crop harvest so things should get interesting!

Hey camo do you have a hit list? And trail pics for us. Did you kill a buck last year.

Fix I only have one ten so far on camera and he’s not a shooter. The big 8 I wanted last year was taken by gun down the road from us. So I’m still waiting to see better deer.

I have a son who will be 2 in December so I didn’t have much time in the stand last year, so no deer where shot at all for me. I have a vacation planned for Nov 10-16 which I will hunt as much as possible.

Going to set a couple stands Monday. Hope to find some good sign.

I went to my best property and pulled 3 cam cards. 5,273 pics of does, fawns and turkeys. This place usually holds velvet bucks, but not this year! I did get my last stand and a blind put up though.

Hung 2 stands today, one in a new area that I am really excited about. It will be a long walk but the acorns are heavy there. It will take a weeks worth of rain to wash down the area of all the bug spray I had to use. The skeeters have come out of the wood work lately.

Took a camera down to move it and had another next year prospect with long brows on it. The other stand is in a high travel area so a doe should be pretty easy to take. I’m ready to go!!

Went to check a camera that I had up for a month and it said the SD card malfunctioned. So no pictures. Oh well, I can get plenty of pictures after I shoot one right? :)

The nice 10 shed his velvet and disappeared from the millionaire property. These 8s are all over the cams though. Does the short tined 8 have some mass or is that just velvet?

Hard to tell with velvet but it kind of looks like he’ll have a wirey rack. Regardless, he’s a nice deer! Get em!

I think I'm trying to help him make up for the short tines.

Hell yes boys I'm throwing tacks tonight. I'm tight as shiz out to 40. One of those night where I was shooting so tight I quit early with a smile.

Thank you TC, hope I can help you guys out.

Here are a couple from the cams. Hard to tell, but the 8 with the brows looks like he has some serious bases. What do you guys think? Im thinking he will be a hoss next season. Going to place my camera with fresh batteries over by the acorn trail and leave it alone until november.

Welcome camo! Got my first buck out of velvet on camera. A real nice 8 point who I would be happy to shoot any day of the week. The rest look like they won’t be shedding for a while yet. I leave for CO in the morning! Weather looks like it’s going to be warm for the duration of my hunt but I think I can get it done!
