I like the bucks that I am seeing! aany of them would get an arrow from me! One of the landowners next door stopped me while I was getting my mail and asked if I hunted anywhere near their property, I said near their west wall but thats because my land butts right up against it. she proceeded to tell me that she'll sign anything she has to for me to cross that wall because the deer are destroying her flowers and she is fed up with it! I love a good neighbor!

 

I wish that would happen to me. I have been struggling trying to find a better place near home to hunt. The only place I have near my house is basically a bunch of tree lines that all run into a larger block of timber. The only problem is the deer population in this area sucks! The IL DNR even added a new rule last year that in my county you cannot kill a doe during the first 14 days of the season. I might have to hit up a few state parks this year.

 

Hey @Benny_Bucks I noticed the alternate pool is looking pretty thin. Since we are a team of 12 with one teammate not able to actually hunt you might think about letting the admins know that so they can make the teams 11 people and not 12.

We want to make this as even as possible for our repeat.

 

If we take on an alternate for this year, then we would lose Collin. I’m all for rolling with 11 people so we can keep Collin for next year. If everyone gets a buck down and shoots a doe we will be fine I believe.

Not to be that guy but if we dump Collin for some unknown alt count me out too. We beat 26 other teams last year including two time champs. I'm proud of our team as it stands.

 

I am not saying we take on an alternate. What I meant was not every team may have 12 people if they do not get enough alternates in the pool. So if the admins know we only have 11 actually participating members this year then it may be easier for them to make all the teams 11 people instead of trying to go 12.

 

I wouldn't be opposed to this. Then we can just retain his rights for our 3-peat year.

Like a Le'Veon Bell holdout season...

 

My guess is they wouldn’t go for it since teams are already set. It would most likely be too much of a headache to try and shuffle teams around right now to make 11 man teams.
