Nah, you have to actually kill things in a kill plot. :violin:

I have 2 kill plots and a 2 acre food plot. As I lost my hunting partner last year, I will be bouncing around my 10 stands and 400 acres all alone this year. The hard part is done...that being the prep. I have a few days of firewood left then allllll solo sits as my reward.
Last year I brought out a team member for a few days and it was a blast and created a good friendship. He will be coming out with his boy in early season again, but no worries. The only rule is no shooting The Dilator lol.
This weekend will be the hardest as I want nothing more than to go get my cards.
I have to travel for work next week so if I can get though this weekend I will have no pressure on getting them until early sept.

I feel ya. We are switching to a new inventory system and I am part of the implementation team. Over 70 branches done by May. Definitely racking up the frequent flier miles on this project.

:tu: I've knocked on a lot of doors out there, but haven't found anybody willing to let me hunt. I love that area.

I’m trying real hard to get an extended family member to let me hunt the 25 acres they just bought. It’s pines and hickory oak absolutely perfect deer hunting area and loaded with turkeys. When I first asked they were hesitant because they’d like to enjoy but when I said I only bow hunt it made them a little more comfortable. They said they’d lot to enjoy the property but they don’t go out much during the hunting months I’m gonna work then today at my aunts gender reveal wish me luck Thwack Pack!

I would stop pressuring them. Go out of your way to not ask about it. Trust me. Then during season bring them jerky and ground. Those are the two things everyone eats. Steaks work too but only if they know how to cook a venison steak. After a while they will bring it up. They know you want it. Pressure rarely works.

I haven't pressured them really at all. I gave a phone call and asked and they said they would get back to me with a decision and didn't get back to me yet. I'm only going to bring it up today if my aunts step dad decides to bring it up to me he's kind of strange and weird about things sometimes so I don't want to make him feel pressured.

    So story time.
I get a few minutes and decided to...of course...throw some shafts. I start at 40. My group is horrible...like stupid bad so I regroup myself and move my bag to 30.my group remains a
$hit show. So yet again I move the bag this time to 20 and I'm shooting baseball sized which is not good. I shoot and shoot trying my best to figure it out. Racking my brain... Then I start shooting blind. Once I close my eyes I hear it. A rattle. I start checking my rig and the last thing I touch is my sights as they all but fall off in my hands. Many words were said my friends....none of them suitable for church. I tighten it down and bam I'm back baby.

Lesson for today boys....check yo rig sucka

Made it back from Ohio. Put in the food plot, set up some cameras, did some scouting, hung up a tree stand, and am pumped to come back in November. I got a tag for a dead head my family found and will take a pic of it and upload it tomorrow. I'm guessing 130-135 inch 8 pointer. Found in a creek bed so I'm guessing he was either shot or had EHD. Dnr guy said that the area has been hit by ehd which surprised me because I hadn't heard anything about it until he mentioned it to me. I jumped a beast of a buck while scouting so I know there's at least one good one in the area. I'll be back out in a couple weeks here in Kansas to check cameras and put up a ground blind. Just got to wait 2 weeks. I can do it!
