My baiting advice for this time of year...don’t. The deer arnt on their fall patterns yet and your intel might not amount to much.

    Plus...raccoons. Lots of them.

You’ll probably need to resight after a 5lb increase. Not a huge deal, plenty of time before the start of the season. But I’ll make the argument that drawing 70 lbs back at the start of the season is gonna be a lot easier than on a cold morning late in the season. I usually do the opposite and pull 70 lbs during the summer to build strength. Then drop down to 65 lbs for the season. Makes those cold morning shots easier. Good luck this season -Simplman-

Just checked my cams for the first time... More than happy with what has shown up. Will post pics when I get a chance. I don’t post phone screenshots of pics from the computer... that’s the cardinal sin of trail camera pics.

Considering I had nothing on my mineral site all spring/summer these pics were encouraging for my 50 acre spot.

I know, I know. I stuck that camera in a tiny chunk of woods I never go into. There is a trail in there but didn't expect to get any good pics. I got in there and got out in about 5 minutes (as little disturbance as I could).

I agree, cardinal sin, but I’ve been guilty of it lately cuz i don’t have time to sit at a computer.

"Cardinal sin" or not, some people dont have time or money or other things to keep updating equipment.

At the end of the day isnt a picture and sharing the excitement of seeing what is there better than no picture at all?

    Just my opinion....

100% agree with your opinion. Just irks me when I'm looking at a tiny, grainy attachment of a pic of someone asking "what does he score" and you're straining your eyes trying to find the main beam

Am I seeing things or is there a huge tumor on the chest of the deer to the right?
