No I did not tear my ACL I tore off the MCL the other ligament in the knee, does the ACL hurt more than the MCL I have no idea.
I have torn my ACL and from my experience, it's not necessarily an unplayable injury. With the right brace, the basic stability of the knee can be achieved, but in Wentz's case, I am not sure whether it will benefit the Eagles. Wentz's biggest asset in my mind is that he can extend plays with his lateral movement. With the absence of an ACL, even with a brace, he still will not be able to scramble like he needs to.
i've tore both my ACL's, not at the same time. left knee was first, back in 1989, (dirty Dancing at a night Club when i was in the Air Force) Right knee in 2005 (Dragging a Buck out of the Woods) Slipped in the snow going up an incline dragging a buck out of the woods. The left knee had Alcohol involved. nothing as far as push off / exploding movement / side to side. brace will not help that much but will help to keep it stable
Get the brace out - Wentz confirmed ACL tear. Let's see if the Eagles can pull a Vikings and keep winning with their backup QB.
