That is the dumbest argument if all. So an untouched receiver cannot dive, roll, get up and run with a ball because his knee, hip, back or other extremity other than the hand touches the ground? Learn the rules of football. He had posession, untouched, made a foot ball move, broke the plane and scored a touchdown. Afterward the ball was jarred loose. Look at Antonio Browns TD against the Ravens last year. He wasn't in the endzone but stretched the ball across the line, TD play over, they coyld have ripped the ball out and ran it 101yds back and woyldn't have mattered.
Not sure if I want to see another 41-0 or see the vikings hold the SB loss record outright, either way I will not be disappointed.
I believe the officials and replay officials agreed with my analysis anything else you say is noise and wrong.
Breaking news......... The three rivers of pittsburgh are at flood level due to all the steeler fans crying!!! Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk
Nope, your analysis is wrong with what they said. Their call was he did not survive the ground on the play. Ball was jarred loose. Reality, IMO, was that he made the catch, and made a football move by extending for the goal line, breaking the plane and thereby ending that play.
Jake have you ever worn shoulder pads? played or coached or taught the game other than being a fantasy football owner? be honest.
Call was garbage, he caught the ball, maintained control and then lunged for the TD. He doesn't have to maintain control once he transitions from catching to making a "football move" Edit: not a big deal though, only games that matter are 3-4 weeks away. Depending on if we hold second seed Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
No I haven't. What does that matter? You're wrong. He wasn't touched by the opposing team. Nice try though. "You had to have played football or coached it to have a say in this thread." Your "grinch" side is showing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've rewatched it a couple times. Subject to interpretation I guess. He clearly caught the ball with control, extended his arms into the endzone breaking the plane. After breaking the plane he comes to the ground and the ball is jolted loose and shifts with a hand coming off and then a defensive player touches him. My opinion is he had clear posession and stretched out for a footballr move, controlled the ball when breaking the plane. Play was dead when he broke the plane TD. The refs ruled it as a continuation of the play should have been made. Ball came loose on the enzone side of plane and ruled incomplete. Play was dead at crossing of plane IMO
I hope the Steelers get a second crack at NE as predicted by many. Brown injury I think is more than a calf bruise as being reported by most sites, I hope it is something that he can make it back in 3 or 4 weeks.
