For the 2nd year in a row, the club i started (Medina County Hunters) held its annual banquet back in February. I started the club as a group on Facebook back in 2013, and its grown to over 700 members since then. Every year we hold a bow shoot, a wild game potluck and this aforementioned banquet. Last year we made a donation to Hunt of a Lifetime, and this year we donated to Wags for Warriors and the Autumn Booth Leukemia fund. We've donated over $5,000 in the last 2 years and this years banquet had 201 attendees. Some of the forum members here were in attendance. This year our special speaker was local wildlife officer Eric Moore and Created Outdoor's Doug Deharpart. If anybody in the Medina county (Ohio) area wants to join, send me a PM and ill invite you to the group. I truly believe that local hunting clubs are key to the future of our sport.
Looks like you're going to need a larger banquet hall next year! Amazing how a simple group on social media can turn into something like that. Our local hunt clubs are nothing that pop out to me. A lot in our area are not too accepting to female hunters.
We give out a female hunter of the year award. And yes, we need to find a bigger venue for next year.
