I'll spend my entire season prospecting around on farms all over South Central KY. I'll probably hunt the best few cooler afternoons in Sept and try to get it done. If I do then I'll hunt does and help everyone else for the rest of the season. If I don't then I'll watch the cameras through the first 3 weeks of Oct for the rare shooter that is showing himself in daylight. Then I'll take off most of the days between 10/25 and 11/11 and try to kill one before the orange army descends. During gun season I'll fool with my buddies and family that are sissy enough to rifle hunt. After gun season if I'm still holding a buck tag I'll try to get back on one somewhere in Dec or Jan. I don't hunt anything else so it's all bowhunting KY whitetails for me. I do have 3 Iowa preference points so things might change next year.
Hunting whitetail around home and hopefully taking a trip or two to SD to chase roosters. I have a 4 year old GSP in his prime and ready to find some long tails.
Well this is year 4 in my goal to kill a good whitetail in the top 10 whitetail states but I have really good leases in Ohio and Illinois and I own land in Michigan so it's very hard for me to give them spots up I have a lot of good bucks on them properties and some already on the wall. So I decided I'm young so why move fast so bring on the miles it's going to be a busy October and November. good luck to you all
Early season whitetail in central WI - trying for 130+ only Oct 1 opener in southwest MI maybe squeeze in another WI hunt (if needed) Oct 28 - Nov 12 for annual family deer camp in mid-MI my goal is to get 2 in the freezer before Michigan rifle season opens Nov 15. If not I may hit SE Michigan in late season.
September 9 NJ archery opener for the week. October 1 VT opener, season lasts for the month. Probably go back to NJ the third week of October and January or February 2018 for a few days during each stint.
