I'm new to the site but sounds awesome. This is my second year bow hunting. Haven't stuck anything yet but ready. Just bought a new bow last week and been getting ready. I shot an old 80's model bear last year before I jumped in. Made newbie mistake (used wrong pin) on a doe and shot over her. Cant wait for oct 1st.
Do you guys feel like the contest made your season more interesting? Did it make you more invested in the season kinda like betting on a sports game gets you really fired up during that game?
More interesting? Yes because I could share it with a lot of people, and vice versa. Not really fired up, or felt like I had anything invested, I honestly couldn't tell you what place my team came in and any of the years I participated. I agree it's great to be on a team to talk hunting and share. There is only so much I can talk hunting to the wife before she gets the glazed over look! It's just a bonus to shoot a deer. This is my deer camp were I get to share with like mined friends. Good luck to all this season, I can't wait to get this contest going!
I look forward to following the contest like a kid waiting for Christmas. Entertaining to read all the posts and follow along. I spend more time on the computer this time of year than the remainder of the year combined.
Two years ago we lost by 50 points...I didn't get a thing. Kind of blame that one on me. But none of the team would. Had a nice chat with those guys dai a on the thread! I did get my first ever archery deer last season and contributed my first ever points!
