I cannot blow a Zink goose call to save my life!

My go to is definitely Gander Valley Custom Calls Powerhouse (my avatar). Real nice low end call. Love that thing! You would not be disappointed. I think PinkPony ended up getting one last year too so maybe she can add to my review.

I added a Lynch Mob X Factor call last year. It's much higher pitched that the Powerhouse but the geese really seemed to respond well to it.

Duck calls I have a C&S Justifier. Don't use it a ton because I always target geese but I do like the call. I had a GVCC Homewrecker that I liked better but my buddy borrowed it and I haven't seemed to get that back yet. I need to do that!

Death Row Calls short drop and Performance Calls fast talker are the goose calls that have stood the test of time for me. There are so many good duck calls out there. I like to have a single and a double reed. RNT has been a favorite of mine over the years.

Zink makes some nice calls, I have been to the shop a few times. Good people with a good product. You can't go wrong with anything from their line up.

Sweet thanks, I'll check them out! Idk why, but I have always loved Zink calls and can blow them pretty well. As you can tell I've been partial to them since my lanyard is pretty much occupied by Zink's haha but never afraid of venturing out and trying something new!

Yea I am the same! My NBG is a single reed and my ATM is a double. I have loved all my Zink's and I tend to be a very brand loyal type of guy, so I always ask what else out there I should be looking at in case I am overlooking other great companies.

I tend to favor grounds calls cause they are just so dang goosey. I've got probably 6 or 7 grounds...a 2 real thang, super mag, g overhauler, triple crown ,a couple lynch mobs, a couple foiles. I tried the Molt gear calls and were pleased with them but haven't bought one yet.

I'd be interested also, but Matt did ask first. If it doesn't work out let me know.

I don't think I could hold down a job if I lived in ND. Beautiful country, great hunting.

Basically a lot Fridays off from august 15th until January 7th until the end of bow season. The the one good this is on our land it is about impossible to bowhunt in the morning without bumping the deer you are hunting so it opens up nicely to fill the void with some layout blinds.

Early goose for my area of NY is Sept 5th through the 30th with a 15/day bag limit for the eastern and central zones and early goose for the western zone is Oct 14th through the 29th at 8/day. Regular season for goose is Nov 23rd through the 26th then stops for a little a re-opens from Dec 4th through Feb 7th, western zone is still 8/day for reg season, but the central and eastern zone drops down to 3/day.

Our Duck season is Nov 23rd through the 26th and then Dec 4th through Jan 28th. Bag limit for Ducks, Sea Ducks, and Mergansers is 6/day. It gets more granular with it being that the daily limit of 6 ducks includes all mergansers and sea ducks (scoters, eiders and long-tailed ducks) and may include no harlequin ducks and no more than 4 mallards (2 of which may be hens), 3 wood ducks, 2 black duck, 1 pintail, 2 scaup, 2 redheads, 2 canvasback, 4 scoters, 4 eiders, 4 long-tailed ducks or 2 hooded mergansers. For all other duck species found in New York, the daily limit is 6.

Are you guys as regulated as NY with where you live and or hunt? I feel like we always have it so much worse than everyone else, but at this point it is a norm for us haha.

Everywhere else seems to be able to shoot a lot more geese than us. We're at 5 for early season and 3 for regular. We can finally shoot light geese during regular season although it's rare to see them here that early.

Duck: Daily bag limit is 6. No more than any of the following species: 4 mallards (2 hen mallards), 3 scaup, 3 wood ducks, 1 pintail, 2 redheads, 2 canvasbacks, 2 black ducks. If not listed up to 6 ducks of a species may be taken.
