I honestly wouldn't spend the money on mallard full bodies. Get yourself some goose decoys and a spinner(good and bad personal experiences with them) and you'll kill ducks no problem.

I'm pumped for the season to get here too. I'll be hunting WI for the first time this year. So I'm working on getting spots picked out. I'll be heading to MI again this year to hunt with JPT. I can't wait to make that trip and put some birds down.

I picked a spinner decoy from gander for a good price for the season. I also just bought a dozen used Dakota floaters. So I have 2 dozen now. I'm pretty set as far as gear. Only thing I might do is have a cart made to haul my gear.

It's too bad we're all so spread out.

Well, a group of us bit the bullet and put in to go to Saskatchewan in February. Because it is previous customers first priority, we will find out if we get it come September. I am going more to be the videographer for the group...but that depends if everyone who said they wanted to go is going. My husband insists that I go since it's a "once in a lifetime" thing.

Here are the mounts. The one in the middle is my bufflehead. Was supposed to be a pair but the taxidermist ruined the hen. The one to the right is the eider (the left eider is from two years ago - his first banded bird) my husband got the same trip.

Still waiting on a snow goose, mallard, rossi, and blue goose. I think they're all to be done in the next month.

    Nice looking mounts!

Question: what are you hunting in Saskatchewan in February?

I wouldn't think there'd be much up there in February!

Travis, maybe I do have it wrong...I should find out. I really thought it was February. It's a great hunt from what I heard.

    Guys and gals...

I will have a list of some decoys for sale. Mostly full body goose decoys. Should have a list up tomorrow sometime.

Doesn't look like much of a sale. At least on the stuff I was looking at. Most prices are right in line with other places online.

That could be. Unless I'm buying used, I rarely buy from anywhere but Rogers because they usually beat competitors in prices and usually always has free shipping, especially over $100.

Hey guys, was just wondering what barrel length you guys are all shooting? I have always shot a 28" barrel for my waterfowl hunting and I am contemplating picking up a new SBE3 and am torn between the 26" and 28" barrel. I can swing the 28" just fine, but am thinking that the shorter 2" difference may help me out a little bit. I hunt with guys that would never even consider going with anything other than a 28" so was curious what you guys thought.

I shoot both. For longer range and overall kill you can't beat the 28. In tight quarters like in a small blind I like the 26. If you put a good choke in a 26 barrel you will be just fine

Thanks for the input fellas, still in the air about it, going to try to get to the shop this weekend or next and make my final decision then. Kind of leaning towards the 28" but we'll see.

On to calls...what do you guys all have on your lanyards? Any favorite calls that are your go to calls? I have a Zink NBG-Nothing but Green, Zink ATM-Green Machine, Zink Call of Death Goose Call, Field Proven Raptor goose call and a 6-1 whistle.

I am thinking of swapping out my cheaper Raptor goose call for either a Zink Money Maker or a Zink Nightmare on Stage. Anyone familiar with these two calls at all?
